We process data that you have sent to us in relation to your application to check your suitability for the position (or where applicable, another available position at one of our companies) and to carry out the application procedure.
The primary legal basis for the processing of your personal data for the application procedure is § 26 of the updated BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act) in the version valid as of 25.05.2018. Thereafter data shall be processed that is required in the context of a decision about whether employment is to be offered.
Should data be required for the legal purposes after the application process has finished, data may be processed on the basis of the requirements of art. 6 of the GDPR, in particular the exercising of legitimate interests in accordance with art. 6 section 1 f) of the GDPR. Our interest will in such cases be in the assertion or defence of legal claims.
Data on applicants shall be deleted 6 months following a rejection.
In cases where you have agreed to your personal data being saved for longer, we will transfer your data to our applicants’ pool. There the data will be deleted automatically after a period of two years has passed.
If you are accepted for a position as part of the application process, the data will be transferred from the applicant data system to our HR information system.
We use a specialist software provider for the application process. This company operates for us as a service provider and may also be informed about your personal data in the context of the maintenance and updating of systems. An order processing contract is in place with this provider, which ensures that data is processed in a legitimate fashion.
Your applicant data will be viewed by our HR departments after your application has been received. Appropriate applications will then be forwarded internally to the head of the relevant department for the available position. The subsequent procedure will then be agreed upon. Within the company, persons only ever have access to your data if they require this for the correct workflow for our application procedure.
The data will be processed solely at data centres located within Federal Republic of Germany.
You have the right to information about any personal data we are processing about your person.
Please note that if you submit a request for information that is not in writing, we will require you to prove that you are the person you are claiming to be.
Furthermore you have a right to correct, delete or restrict the processing of this data where legally permissible.
You also have a right to object to the processing of this data within the framework of legal requirements. The same applies to a right to data portability.
